After a long, cold winter, the sun is finally showing its face. Forgive us if we’re getting ahead of ourselves (its not summer yet), but that means we’re already reaching for the rosé. Sometimes, though, you might want more than a glass of wine – and rosé is uniquely versatile as an ingredient for spring cocktails.
Read on for four rosé cocktail recipes that will go great with the sunshine. Or any other kind of weather.
BottlesXO Rosé Wine Cooler
The famous BottlesXO wine cooler is insanely refreshing and as easy to make as it is delicious. To whip up a glass, all you need to do is mix up two strawberries, a few mint leaves and two teaspoons of sugar. Then, add ice, one pour of rosé wine and stir – done! Bust it out at your next BBQ or day party and get ready to soak up some compliments. Seriously, you might want to make it by the batch.
Rosé Margarita
This one’s another easy one: a rosé-assisted twist on a summer classic. A sharp and fruity Rosé Margarita can be as simple as blending quality tequila (emphasis on the quality) with rosé wine and throwing in dashes of salt, sugar or lemon juice to taste, but there are ways to make it more interesting too. Some recipes call for simple syrup to add sweetness and round it out, while others recommend upping the fruitiness and sourness with additions of strawberry and lime juice.
Black Rose
The Black Rose is an extra summery variation on classic punch. It’s made by taking rosé and blending it with vodka, lime juice and plenty of blackberries muddled with simple syrup before putting it all through a fine mesh strainer. Sweet and fruity, poured out of a pitcher over ice, it makes a perfect party piece.
Rosé Champagne Punch
Another simple and shareable party concoction, this one uses the addition of Rosé Champagne to make a round of punch even more festive and a few shades classier. Most recipes call for a blend of the champagne with fresh lemon juice and another, tart fruit juice; think cranberry or pomegranate. Soda water rounds it out, makes it light and adds refreshing carbonation.
Of course, BottlesXO delivers a range of delicious rosé wines instantly to wherever you are, chilled and ready to drink (or mix!).
